Boston, MA 10/08/2014 (wallstreetpr) – West Pharmaceutical Services Inc. (NYSE:WST) has named Karen Flynn as the new President of its Pharmaceutical Packaging Systems segment. It is a global business segment within unit that generates largest annual sales revenue of approximately $1 billion for the company. West has appointed Karen after a thorough consideration as she has an amazing record of enhancing sales. She is known for her team management skills ultimately having a positive impact on revenues. She has been successful in driving the revenues in America’s business segment. Donald E. Morel, Jr., the CEO of West Pharmaceutical Services Inc. (NYSE:WST), said that it is an exciting period for West, and the board is confident that Karen is the ideal candidate to lead company’s Pharmaceutical Packaging Systems segment.
The experience
Karen has got extensive experience and expertise working in the same industry. She has got more than 28 years of experience in the industry. Recently, she was the President of Pharmaceutical Packaging Systems in America’s region. She used to take care of the regional business segment of America. She was responsible for both the commercial and manufacturing aspects of the business. She was with Catalent from year 2000 to 2008. She was a part of Sales management and was promoted to VP of global accounts in the company. She has been successful in all her leadership roles.
Flynn has worked for 15 years at West before she became a part of Catalent sales management team. She has served in various roles including R&D, quality, Sales and Technical services. She joined back America’s segment of Pharmaceutical Packaging Systems as Vice President Sales.
The qualification
Flynn completed Bachelor of Science in Pre-Med from The University of Notre Dame. She pursued her Master of Science in Business Administration from reputed Boston University. She also holds a Master of Science degree in Engineering. She completed it from The University of Pennsylvania. She is an active member of the Forum of Executive Women known as Healthcare Businesswomen Association.
