The association will provide high-performance connectivity through a secured environment for both enterprises and government customers across North America, Europe and Latin America. It will offer access to HP Helion Managed Cloud Service while utilizing the Level 3’s Virtual Private Network (VPN) and security services.
Cloud – a growing market
Enterprises are witnessing common problems such as performance, control and security while integrating data center with cloud. Therefore, Level 3 Communications, Inc. (NYSE:LVLT) partnered with cloud service providers including HP to offer a comprehensive range of solutions in cloud networking.
The solutions offer cloud services for various business applications in an agile environment. It also provides high-performance networking, rapid service provisioning and usage-based billing on the services for their various businesses.
Level 3’s Chief Marketing Officer, Anthony Christie said that the collaboration with HP expects to transform the networking architecture through cloud services. Enterprises can use the new cloud services of HP to support their cloud strategies and enhance the growth performance of their businesses.
At the same time, Jim Fanella, VP of Workload and Cloud, HP Enterprise Services, said that managing the business effectively in a secured environment becomes critical for enterprises. So, it becomes important for HP to deliver cloud solutions that help in protecting the core business applications.
Both the companies expect that the services will be available in North America by 4Q2014 and worldwide by 1H2015.
