Boston, MA 08/19/2014 (wallstreetpr) – Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) has regained the crown of fastest wireless service provider in US that it lost earlier to AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T). The company added extra capacity to relieve network congestion that resulted in lower service quality in New York a year back. But things look to come on track once again for the company.
Last Year’s Story:
Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) was considered as the best choice for communication needs related queries. As per the RootMetrics reports, it held the number one position in quality, data service, calling and reliability for the entire first half of the year. It was only second to AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) in terms of text messaging. VZ tried its best to regain the number one position after AT&T took over it, and VZ decided to use AWS airwaves for the same cause. With the help of AWS airwaves service, it not only expanded wireless service in the country, but also provided the maximum wireless speed to all the users.
Use of AWS airwaves was one of the most-important parts of capital spending plan for the current year. The main objective of the company behind this upgrade is to compete with the rivals over quality rather than pricing of services. Other service providers like T-Mobile US Inc (NYSE:TMUS), AT&T and Sprint Corp. are among the biggest rivals for Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ).
According to Bill Moore, President RootMetrics, “VZ has done exceptionally well in regard with deployment of AWS airwaves.” A year ago it was AT&T dancing on the first spot while VZ was second, but the condition has changed over a period of few months. Now Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) has again come back on top while AT&T is second in the rankings. Last year VZ was placed second after AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) in all the six categories that were analyzed by RootMetrics magazine, but in the first six months of 2014, VZ again headed towards the top rank after introducing AWS airwaves.
