AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) Decides To Launch U-verse in Shreveport/Bossier, Expects To Have 57 million Customers in The Area

Boston, MA 08/19/2014 (wallstreetpr) – The market competition is at its peak in USA as AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) has decided to launch some of the trendy services for its customers. The decision has come just after the announcement made by Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) that it has regained the first position in terms of wireless internet speed.

U-verse Internet, AT&T U-verse TV, AT&T U-verse Voice:

After experiencing stiff competition from Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ), T has decided to launch modern era services in all over the country starting from Shreveport/Bossier. The launch of U-verse internet, AT&T U-verse Voice and AT&T U-verse TV is a strategic step taken by the company. The launch is a part of Velocity IP (VIP) project which aims at expansion and enhancement of AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T)’s IP and mobile data networks.

U-verse internet service of the company will keep targeting new cities in coming months for the improvement of service. T has a target of reaching around 57 million customer locations by the end of 2015 through Project VIP. According to Shreveport Mayor Cedric Glover, “U-verse internet expansion in Shreveport will not only enhance the internet quality, but also it will strengthen the economic condition of the area. I am pleased that T made investment in our city.”

AT&T Inc. (NYSE:T) also got appreciation from Lisa Johnson, the CEO and the president of the Bossier Chamber of Commerce for the investment. She said, “Effective broadband service plays a critical role in Northwest Louisiana’s growing economy. We are extremely thankful to AT&T for making the life of residents and those who are relocating to here better than before.” When reporters tried to get in touch with Sonia Perez, president, AT&T Louisiana, she said, “We are happy to invest in Louisiana. People of Shreveport/Bossier will now be able to connect more effectively with each other than ever with the help of U-verse internet.” Now customers of AT&T can watch hit TV shows from anywhere with the help of U-verse internet.
