(NASDAQ:YHOO) has made an announcement that effectively expands the reach of its news app. The company stated in a press release that Yahoo News Digest app will now be available for people living in the U.K. The service will be available on to readers twice a day and will deliver curated content based on multiple sources. The press release announcing this latest development in Yahoo News Digest was signed by Dick D’Aloisio who assumed the position of Product Manager at Yahoo after selling the his Summly company to the digital giant. Yahoo! Inc. (NASDAQ:YHOO) recently announced an array of products that it hopes would help it effectively compete with rivals Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) and Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG). The stock of Yahoo lost 50 cents per share to settle $37.29 from the previous session.
Barnes & Noble, Inc. (NYSE:BKS): An investment company calling itself G Asset Management wants to buy majority holding in BKS. The investment company is interested in 51 percent stake in BSK, or at least in its Nook business. As for a whole stake in Barnes & Noble, G Asset Management is willing to pay $21 per share, a deal which would value BSK at about $1.32 billion. If it is about investing in Nook, the investment firm is willing to pay 5 per share, which would value its stake at $300 million. What is not very clear at this juncture is how the little-known investment firm would finance the acquisition. But it worth noting that a similar offer came up sometime back in November, where a stock of Barnes & Noble was valued at $20. Shares of Barnes & Noble, Inc. (NYSE:BKS) gained about 5.42 percent in Friday session to settle up at $17.69.
American Realty Capital Properties Inc (NASDAQ:ARCP) has announced monthly dividend. The company stated that it would pay $0.0833 per share, which represents $1 dividend on annualized basis. The yield is 7.09 percent. The stock starts trading ex-dividend on March 5. It is also noting that this is a positive change in the company’s dividend payment given that it previously observed monthly dividend of $0.08. Shares of American Realty Capital Properties Inc (NASDAQ:ARCP) gained 9 cents each to settle at $14.20 by close of business Friday.
