Boston, MA 08/18/2014 (wallstreetpr) – Motorola is all set to reveal the price of its upcoming smart watch next month, but Best Buy Co Inc. (NYSE:BBY) has revealed the price of the Moto 360 smart watch. There is no clarity if it has been done accidently or by mistake.
What’s The Issue:
According to reports, Motorola’s well awaited Google Powered Moto 360 smart watch will be launched in a couple of months’ time. The company had planned to reveal details about the price of this smart watch next month, but things have not fallen in line in the way they were planned. Recently the leading electronic retailer Best Buy Co Inc. (NYSE:BBY) came up with an online product page of Motorola’s smart watch. According to the information made public through the product page, the Motorola Smart Watch will cost $249.99.
How Significant The Price Is:
It is not the first time when a smart-phone company has launched any smart watch. Samsung, Apple Inc. and Pebble Steel have already made such announcements. There are a few smart watches available in the market i.e. Samsung’s Gear Live smart watch ($199), Pebble Steel ($229) and Samsung Gear 2 ($299). The price offered by Motorola is a lot higher than the two of three existing products available in the market; therefore, it will be good to see as how customers react to Moto 360 smart watch.
Although the product page of Moto 360 smart watch had been taken down immediately, but not before Droid-Life noticed it on Sunday. The page also revealed the features of Moto 360 which include circular 320 x 920 Gorilla Glass display, pedometer and built-in heart rate monitor. Motorola has not announced the exact date for the launch of Moto 360 smart watch. Motorola is going to organize an event on September 4, 2014. It is supposed to announce details about Moto 360 smart watch in the event.
