The Dow Chemical Company (NYSE:DOW) Announces Key Changes In Management

Boston, MA 09/08/2014 (wallstreetpr) – In an initiative to focus on earnings growth, The Dow Chemical Company (NYSE:DOW) has made key changes in its management structure. The company has appointed James (Jim) R. Fitterling as Vice Chairman of Business Operations. He will look after all the main businesses including Dow Elastomers, Dow Packaging and Specialty Plastics, Dow Electrical and Telecommunications and others. The role of vice Chairman and Chief Commercial Officer of Market Business is assigned to Joe E. Harlan. The new Chief Financial Officer of DOW will be Howard I. Ungerleider.

The changes

Executive VP and CFO William H. (Bill) Weideman, and David E. Kepler, executive VP, Chief Information Officer and Chief sustainability officer will retire at the end of this year. Both of them are an integral part of the company since last 40 years. Transitions will be implemented immediately, and the effective date for new appointments is October 1, 2014. The new executive leadership appointments are made so as to bolster the growth in the company.
