Tesla has helped to save the environment through preventing the release of CO2, which is estimated at 570,000 tons. It also saved gas that could last for 10 years.
Tesla gained prominence after introducing an all electric sports car – Roadster in the year 2008. It was the first company to roll out an electric sports vehicle on the US highways. The company has not divulged monthly sales figures of the Tesla Model S. According to the reports, Tesla has delivered 75,000 Model S cars since its launch in the year 2012. It thus becomes the third best-selling electric vehicle worldwide. It has also marked a milestone to come out of the doldrums in new car sales in December and September when contrasted in single month wise in Norway in the year 2013.
Tesla has reported a surge of 55% on annual basis in car sales in Q1 2015. The company has sold 10,030 cars in the first quarter. It is the best quarter for Tesla.
The Tesla S model reaches a speed of 60 miles per hour in just 3.1 seconds. It is offered in all-wheel drive with autopilot option.
