(NASDAQ: TRVN) announced on 8th October that it has stopped the enrolment of patients for its Phase 2a/b clinical trial of its target drug TRV130 which has to be administered intravenously. The drug is being positioned as a potential pain killing cure for patients recovering from bunionectomy operation. The decision to stop taking in new patients to the program came on the back of the test meeting objectives set out at the beginning. The results were derived during an interim analysis of the test data. The drug maker has indicated its happiness at the quickened pace of enrolment and has promised to release top line results by end of this quarter.
Technology firm Xilinx Inc. (NASDAQ:XLNX) disclosed on 8th October that it has released new features to augment the functionality of Ocor Zynq-7000 All Programmable SoC by the release of its flagship Vivado Design Suite 2014.3. The suit is being positioned as the only SoC-strength design suite which is available for the programming professionals. The suit also comes equipped with new releases of software development kits and corresponding “UltraFast Embedded Design Methodology Guide.” The new release will also offer enhancements to its existing in Vivado High-Level Synthesis platform users. It also offers users an enhanced performance monitoring tool which will help system analysts and developers visualize the full potential of their codes being written on the SDK. The company claims that in lab environment its new functions have helped increase user productivity by nearly 10 times.
