Boston, MA 08/22/2214 (wallstreetpr) – A diversified television broadcasting company, Sinclair Broadcast Group Inc (NASDAQ:SBGI) disclosed that it had established original programming division with a view to creating and developing original content. It will also reduce its dependency on others.
Focus On Entertainment

To start with, the division would focus on shows with its CWs and MyNets and would broadcast during the prime time and afternoon during the weekend.

This apart, it believes that it enables the company to have a greater economic potential.
The establishment of a new segment would not reduce its local news programming, or the planned ring of honor wrestling, cable news network and high school sports that run over 1,800 hours per week. The company said that it had become imperative for the media to be competitive in view of the distribution control and the contents delivered through the platform.
