Boston, MA 02/06/2014 (wallstreetpr) – While the users of Samsung’s 2013 flagship Smartphones, Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S4 are happy to get the most recent KitKat OS update on their phones, there is a slight hint for other Samsung device users too, to get the KitKat update soon. Although, Samsung has not officially released any information about the OS update for other devices, but the technology blog, Phandroid, reports citing details received from undisclosed sources that the leader in Smartphone maker will soon release the OS update for the rest of the devices.
Surprise For Samsung Users
As per the received information, the devices which are slated to get the OS update includes Galaxy Note 2,S3,S3 Mini, Galaxy S4, S4 Active, S4 Zoom,Galaxy Mega 6.3 and among tablets – Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 and Galaxy Note 8.0. The reported devices will include both international as well as US versions.Besides the mentioned list of gadgets,it is believed that Samsung might also release updates for mid-range handsets including Galaxy S4 Mini, Ace 3, S Advance, Ace 2, Core, Fame and Fresh somewhere towards the end of the year 2014.However, the question of authencity of the report remains,but a strong valid point in support of this does emerge out. All the devices mentioned in the list are 2013 debuts, and since the Smartphone buyers are obligated to receive updates within a time frame of 18 months,therefore, the information holds good to be true. But, the dates and any other specifics as to what changes would come packed with these updates,could not be found, hence, it seems that the rest of the Samsung users have to wait for a while to hear something from the less vocal Samsung.
Google Has It, HTC And Motorola Lined up
Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) was the first one to embrace Android KitKat 4.4 in its Nexus 5 at the close of the year 2013. Later, Google also announced the OS to be found in its Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 as well as Nexus 4 too and all these devices soon received the updates too. HTC One followed the trend and announced that the chocolaty OS version will soon reach the users and as per the latest reports, it has already finished updates for some of its devices. Motorola too has confirmed that Moto X connected to Verizon will be first to get the KitKat 4.4 update.
