PulteGroup, Inc. (NYSE:PHM) To Relocate Its Corporate Headquarters

Boston, MA 08/19/2013 (wallstreetpr) – The leaders of Georgia and Atlanta open heartedly welcomed their next Fortune 500 firm headquarters to Atlanta.Gov. Nathan Deal and Atlanta Mayor Nathan Deal accedpted gladly Richard Dugas Jr. the chairman, president and chief executive officer of PulteGroup, Inc. (NYSE:PHM), to Atlanta at the location of the novel headquarters of the Pulte Group as a part of a relocation strategy.

The Pulte Group is ranked 501 in the 2013 Fortune 1000 list. After the welcoming event Dugas said that the Pulte Group used to rank 250th in the Fortune 500 list, but then came the housing fall-out in the late 2000s during the great recession.

In 2012, the southeast accounted for 37% of the homes that were closed by them and 43% of their invested capital. The total Midwest markets are going back 20 years ago, which represented just 30% of their business, but today it is little less than 10.

Pulte Brings Jobs To Atlanta

There’s a good news for all seeking employment in Atlanta as Pulte brings 100s of jobs to Georgia. The company is all set to relocate its corporate headquarters from Michigan to Atlanta.

 Richard Dugas, Jr. Pulte Chairman and CEO, Kasim Reed, Atlanta Mayor, and Nathan Deal, Georgia’s Governor, are very soon going to announce the move and also talk about the jobs that the Pulte brings to the region.

Pulte Group Tries To Pull Itself Out Of The Trough

Pulte Group, Inc (NYSE:PHM) has been going through a deal of disruption lately. This is due to the fact that the company has been experiencing negative trends on the average crossover front. The stock has declined to 22.7% from the past 4 weeks.

The Department of Commerce had declared that the new home sales had increased by 35% last month.

The Downward Trend

The National Association of home builder’s index witnessed a rise of 3 points from 56 in July to 59 in august 2013.
