Microsoft To Shut Down Games For Windows Live

Microsoft Corporation has decided that it will cease the games for Windows Live marketplace and would also refrain from selling products through the PC games marketplace.

However, the users will still be able to access and play games through the Games for Windows Live Client.

The Xbox.com PC market will close on August 22, 2013 and the Microsoft Corporation points will be retired.

Microsoft’s Degrading Popularity

Microsoft Corporation is undoubtedly one of the most affluent and powerful enterprises of the world. For years Microsoft has been selling its immaculate Windows Operating System.

But despite of such big reputations and prolonged existence in the software market Microsoft in the present scenario seems to be losing steam to competitors like the big Apple Inc.

Smart phones and tablets are what have replaced the PCs in the modern arena and Microsoft have failed to match the powers of Apple and other producers of tablets and smart phones hence witnessing a decline a popularity as the rivals continue to grow on popularity as well as sales.

However stats show that it is not as far away as from the likes of Apple as you may have thought. For instance, the Xbox 360 has spent 30 consecutive months as the best selling game console in the US.
