Boston, MA 06/10/2014 (wallstreetpr) – Over 1,200 NRG Energy Inc (NYSE:NRG) employees put their regular work to halt in order to contribute the energy to those communities which are a part of volunteer projects. The employees of the company curtailed energy to customers and delivered the same to the communities for the seventh annual NRG Global Giving Day. A few teams of the employees signed up for the cause of 74 charities in 13 different states of the U.S., while also performing an array of volunteer tasks through 6,300 volunteer hours during the event which was spread over multiple days.
