Boston, MA 02/03/2014 (wallstreetpr) – The search for the next CEO at Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) set to replace the outgoing Steve Balmer seem to be coming to a positive conclusion with news that Nadella has clinched the top position. Recent revelations clearly point out that the company has decided to settle in for the insider Satya Nadella who clearly understands all the operation at Microsoft having served there for the past 22 years. The formal announcement is set to be made next week as the company gears up for the impending retirement of Steve Balmer its current CEO.

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has been in the search for its next Chief executive Officer after its current CEO Steve Balmer announced he was planning to retire. The search has lasted nearly 5 months a period during which the search has been trimmed from a total of 100 possible candidates down to 5. Satya Nadella is seen as the right man capable of leading the company in strengthening its presence among consumers in the device and service industry. Nadella seems to have out shined former Nokia CEO Stephen Elop for the top position. Elop was rooted as a possible selection after Microsoft had acquired Nokia’s mobile devices for a total of $7.2 billion.

Satya Nadella Biography

Born in 1967 in Hyderabad India, Satya Nadella comes with lots of experience having pursued a Master’s degree in Computer science from Wisconsin Milwaukee University and Masters in Business administration from the University Of Chicago Booth School Of Administration. Nadella has previously worked at Sun Microsystems, he has held various positions at Microsoft in the business section. He is currently the executive vice chairman for the cloud and enterprise group that is entitled to building and running computer platforms at Microsoft. Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) Cloud computing section has shown massive improvement under Nadella leadership thus the reason for a possible selection for the top position
