Markel Corporation (NYSE:MKL)’s Subsidiary Announced Acquisition Of Den Boer And Vanderpol

Boston, MA 09/02/2014 (wallstreetpr) – Markel Corporation (NYSE:MKL) recently announced acquisition of Tromp-Pol Baking Equipment B.V. a.k.a Vanderpol and Den Boer Baking Systems B.V. a.k.a Den Boer by its subsidiary, AMF/Tromp B.V. Headquartered in Netherlands, both Vanderpol and Den Boer are involved in manufacturing as well as designing of waffle equipment, ovens as well as handling equipment for bakers across the world.

Highlights of the Deal

After acquisition of Vanderpol and Den Boer, both these companies shall be combined with Markel’s formerly acquired company, Tromp Bakery Equipment. Together, all these acquired companies shall form a separate group called Tromp Group, which will continue to remain a Markel Bakery Group family member.

Robert Van Heukelum of Vanderpol and Den Boer shall be the president of entire Tromp Group. He expressed his happiness to be a part of Markel Bakery family, in which there are a lot more companies.

Statement from the CEO of Markel Bakery Group

The Chief Executive Officer, Markel Corporation (NYSE:MKL), Ken Newsome, while expressing excitement said, “We are excited to complete the union of Vanderpol and Den Boer with Tromp.” He explained that the aforementioned three companies had previously also worked together in strategic alliance for several years. Through the acquisition transaction, the CEO explained, the customers of all three companies shall be served in a better manner through a completely integrated group delivering entire production line.

Markel Bakery to Offer Entire Production Line through Acquired Companies

The CEO said that through AMF’s pan bread and bun, Reading’s baked snacks and now with Tromp Group’s cookies, cake & pie, breads, pizzas and waffles, Markel Corporation (NYSE:MKL) covers virtually “entire spectrum of baking equipment.”

With the offices situated in a range of countries across the world, such as China, Singapore, UAE, Mexico, the Netherlands, the U.K., Canada and the U.S., Markel Corporation (NYSE:MKL) has gone completely global with huge network of resources to serve industrial bakers across the world.
