Inside Sprint Corporation (NYSE:S)’s Bag Of Tricks

Boston, MA 10/25/2013 (wallstreetpr) – Sprint Corporation (NYSE:S) has announced that canvas, an industry leading business application platform is now available for its users especially those in the business sector.

Canvas is a cloud-based software service that allows business owners to replace paper forms with the more efficient mobile forms and applications. This helps business owners to cut costs related to paper usage by up to 75% not to mention it saves time as well increases efficiency. The service works on all smart phones and tablets available on the Sprint Corporation’s platform.

Canvas maximizes the full potential of some of the functionalities on some of the smart phones like GPS functionality, bar code scanning, electronic signatures, image capture and access to business data like customer records. The canvas platform has over 10,000 applications varying from inspection forms, work orders and surveys. The service will see business customers of Sprint make large savings as well as cut costs and increase employee output through various avenues. To date the canvas platform has replaced millions of manual processes and replaced up to 40 tons of papers. These are among the advantages that Sprint hopes to pass on to its users by using the platform. The platform has also helped other companies save up to $3,800 in productivity costs per user.

Apart from the good news for the business people, Sprint has also announced that its wholly-owned subsidiaries Clearwire Finance Inc. and Clearwire LLC have delivered notices of redemption. The two subsidiaries intend to redeem in full both of their 12% senior secured notes due 2015 as well as their second-priority secured notes due 2017. They hope to complete both cases on December 1 2013.  Sprint is also expected to roll out a new wireless service to curb the demand for data services. The new service will have several advantages like better wireless signal strength and fewer drops or blocks.
