The management team of Coca-Cola Enterprises Inc (NYSE:CCE) announced their Q3 2013 results on 24th October, 2013. Looking at the third quarter of Coca-Cola Enterprises Inc, the company has managed to return to the growth of 2.5% increase in the volume which led to 2.5% increase in the sales and 2% in the operating income. This growth is the result of the seasonal marketing activities conducted by the company. Moreover, the benefits of proper execution of the summer marketing programs led to 2.5% increase in the volume.
Some of the seasonal marketing activities adopted by the management of Coca-Cola Enterprises Inc which helped to increase the profit and sales of the company are Share a – Coke Campaign, improved weather and also ongoing operating initiatives.
Also the report included that though the company has experienced a volume growth, but it is also important to understand some of the sequencing which happened during the third quarter. Specifically, in the month of July the volume growth was positive, but August was flat and in the month of September there was a decline in the volume growth of the company. The results of July are a support which helped in increasing the volume growth due to the persistent poor weather.
The company is keenly focused on restoring the sustained growth of the business. Though, the macroeconomic environment is affecting our customers and clients as there is huge competition in the market. The company has received a satisfactory third quarter report but the company is looking forward to work in the same condition in order to stay in the competition and increase the net sales.
