General Electric Company (NYSE:GE) Offers New LED Security Lights To Replace High-Intensity Discharge Lights For Commercial Application

Boston, MA 09/26/2014 (wallstreetpr) – HIG lights, or high-intensity discharge lights consume more energy and keeping in line with the energy efficiency demand across the world General Electric Company (NYSE:GE) launched Evolve™ LED Security Light. The company claims that the new LED lights can be used in commercial builders, utilities as well as at other places to replace HID lights.

The Evolve™ LED Security Light for Commercial Applications

The new General Electric Company (NYSE:GE) lights are rated to offer 100,000 hours lifetime validity. Primarily designed for the commercial purposes, these lights can be used in roadside establishments, work yards and commercial areas. Also, the Evolve LED can be used for rural areas’ roadway lighting.

Replacing the Traditional Fixtures

The new lights are said to provide the same durability like their traditional counterparts, but have dimming capabilities. These lights sport robust design that can deal with the harsh elements as well. General Electric Company (NYSE:GE) said that the new lights boast the color temperatures which vary from 4000K and 5000K. It has the reflective technology that can lead to optimization, in terms of efficiency.

In this regard, the Product Manager, Outdoor for General Electric Company (NYSE:GE), Parm Girn, said that the new lights have more number of lumens per watt as well as much light. In comparison, the HID security lighting does not offer much. He added that the light can bring down the operating costs with better-rated lifetime.

Apart from saving the money and energy, the Evolve Security Light can bring down the rate of re-lamping, thus leading to savings. In contrast, the HID security offers lifetime till a fraction of ours only.

General Electric Company (NYSE:GE) offers Evolve™ LED Security Light with two optical distributions as well as lumen levels. It has the lumen maintenance with the rating of L70. This rating signifies that the light can significantly bring down the needs and maintenance costs.
