Fortinet Inc (NASDAQ:FTNT)’ Solution Is Setting Up A New Standard

Boston, MA 10/14/2014 (wallstreetpr) – Fortinet Inc (NASDAQ:FTNT) launched the first firewall appliance FortiGate-3810D for large scale enterprise customers. The company released the next generation solutions, which has 100GbE interfaces and 300+ Gbps throughput.

FortiGate-3810D – The only security appliance

FortiGate-3810D form factor designed by utilizing the Fortinet’s FortiASIC Network Processor 6 technology. So, the appliance’s Virtual Domain and transparent mode segmented the network without any significant modification and also save the power consumption and storage space. FortiGate-3810D primarily intends to increase the performance and connectivity for high-speed data centers.

Step ahead

Globally, large enterprises are now upgrading their data centers to support high-speed performance with next-generation appliances such as software defined networks, cloud infrastructure, virtualization and mobile interfaces. So, the enterprises are setting up the infrastructure or data centers with high-speed networks 40G/100G ports to support the traffic without any compromises over their performances.

Therefore, Fortinet Inc (NASDAQ:FTNT) designed FortiGate-3810D to address the growing needs of the large scale enterprises and provide a unique solution. FortiGate-3810D is an NP6 ASIC architecture that supports the enterprises with 10x Data Center and 5x Next Generation performance. So, the infrastructure eliminates the traffic bottleneck, which is responsible for slow productivity and latency.

Infonetics Research’s principal analyst for security, Jeff Wilson said that enterprises are now demanding sophisticated platform to remain competitive that will provide the high-speed interfaces and throughput performance. He also said that Fortinet’s FortiGate-3810D offer an interface to increase the throughput performance by more than 100 Gbps.

At the same time, Fortinet Inc (NASDAQ:FTNT)’s VP of Marketing, John Maddison stated that firewalls are blocking the speed of the data centers and moving from 1G to 100G will naturally strengthen the connectivity speed. So, the company’s FortiGate-3810D will build an infrastructure for 100G data centers without affecting the firewall throughput while offering high-speed connectivity.

Fortinet Inc (NASDAQ:FTNT) partnered with Ixia, a network testing and security optimization firm, to validate the performance of the firewall (100GbE Security) in the 100G networks such as Internet2.
