Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) has enabled special features for warning in the Police Interceptor; Ford Taurus. The chime gives warning to the officers and also rolls up the windows at the driver’s side. Additionally, it also locks doors of the car and flashes the exterior lights.

Security of Police Officers Enabled
The company said that the surveillance mode was introduced in all police vehicles for 2014. The company also added that this mode is available for military applications as well as for other automakers.
The Engineering Supervisor of Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) Special Vehicle Unit, Randy Freiburger, in this context, said that the company wants to assist the forces in ensuring and improving the police officers’ security and safety. This, he explained, applied to not just the Ford Police Interceptor, but also to the competitive vehicle that they use.
It is possible for the criminals to attack the officers from the rear. In order to assist in their security, the company shall be offering the aforementioned security features under the “surveillance mode” characteristics in special vehicles.
