Boston, MA 05/30/2014 (wallstreetpr) – First Solar, Inc. (NASDAQ:FSLR) announced that it is prepared to launch the next generation First Solar Series 4™ module and its new modular AC Power Plant™ solution.
The leading global provider of all- inclusive photovoltaic solar systems which employ the company’s thin film module, has proclaimed the demonstration of the AC Power Plant™ solution and the First Solar Series 4™, which uses PV module at Intersolar Europe. The event will be held from 4 June to 6 June, 2014 in Munich, Germany. First Solar, Inc. (NASDAQ:FSLR) plans to showcase some other solutions in the event as well.
AC Power Plant™
The AC Power Block, a configurable system, is aimed at providing a solution to power plant developers and owners for the purpose of enabling them to minimize risks involved in projects while maximizing revenue and energy output. It can be adjusted to suit a diverse range of conditions. The pre- engineered system comes in a wide range of modular units of the range between 800 kilowatts and 3.8 megawatts. This new system is based on First Solar, Inc. (NASDAQ:FSLR)’s appreciated PV plant devise and energy forecast model and is equipped with an industry leading energy efficiency guarantee. It also holds a 25 year capacity warranty.
First Solar Series 4™ Module
The Series 4 PV module is capable of offering around 8% more energy than the standard crystalline silicon modules which have equal power rating. It is also compatible with advanced plant architectures of 1500 volt. The module is designed with a new reflection proof coated glass that helps in increasing the total output energy. Like the AC Power Block, this module also comes with First Solar, Inc. (NASDAQ:FSLR)’s Linera Performance Warranty of 25 years.
Apart from the above mentioned new modules, First Solar also intends to showcase another system called the Modules Plus System at Intersolar Europe. The modules features single axis tracker and fixed tilt designs that ensure easy installation, while offering project value as well as reliability of operation with First Solar, Inc. (NASDAQ:FSLR)’s thin film photovoltaic modules.
