Boston, MA 08/28/2014 (wallstreetpr) – The first Mustang is ready for global sale by Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F). The Company has started the production of the 6th generation Mustang in its plant in Michigan. The model that is over 50 years old is still very popular. The right hand drive version which has never appeared in any of the previous version of the Mustang will make an appearance in this version to cater to the markets in Australia, UK, and the South Africa. $24,425 is the price one may have to shell out to own a mustang in 2015, according to Dearborn, Michigan-based automaker.

Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) is interested in giving the Camaro, owned by General Motors, a tough competition because of which it is building a widely appealing muscular car. According to Michael Robinet, an analyst at consultant IHS Automotive, the Mustang is being designed to gain global recognition. The vehicle also has lots of American allure to it according to Michael.

U.S. Sales for Ford Surging High

There was a 3.9% increase in Mustang sales this year and the number of mustangs sold was 50, 795. During the same time the sales of the camaro went up by 13%. A lot of the credit goes to the fact that the camaro landed the role of Bumblebee in the widely famous movie “Transformers”. This movie attracted the younger lot towards camaro.

Engine Choices in the new Mustang

There are 3 choices of engines available according to ford, — the base 300-horsepower V-6, a 310-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder and a 435-horsepower V-8.

Ford Motor Company (NYSE:F) has 23 new models slated for release this year and mustang is one of the 23. The U.S sales of Ford have declined by 0.4%. Whatever profit it will make will be spent towards re tooling and promoting its new releases. $2.3 billion was the net income that was posted by Ford in the first half of this year; this is a decline from the $2.84 billion it had posted last year at the same time.
