Aruba Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ:ARUN) Offering Gigabit Wi-Fi To West Chester University Student Housing

Boston, MA 08/28/2014 (wallstreetpr) – A student housing in West Chester University has gone entirely wireless thanks to Aruba Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ:ARUN) which provides Gigabytes Wi-Fi.

Aruba Networks attracting student customers

Aruba networks has promised to provide an Aruba 802.11ac wireless LAN (WLAN) to enhance connectivity amongst the 5000 students residing in the students apartments in West Chester University, Pennsylvania State.

The demands by students for a high performing wireless network have been increasing steadily. The IT department too requires a network security in a cost efficient manner. Keeping all this in mind, the University has decided to provide Aruba solutions to all the problems related to IT.

Benefits of wireless network in West Chester University

The benefits of having wireless network was realised only when Aruba Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ:ARUN) 802.11n was installed in its buildings. Student’s apartments had lots of problems pertaining to old wiring and new technology compatibility. The older building didn’t cater to the needs of the students belonging to the new generation, since they didn’t have proper electrical wiring that will suit the wi-fi and mobile friendly students.

The world today has moved towards HD, distance education and online surfing along with the mailing that is already present. Richard Chan, Assistant Director, Networking and Telecommunications for West Chester University, has observed this shift and understood that wireless technology is the need of the hour.

Aruba’s wireless network- a move to mint on student’s affinity for Wi-Fi and Mobiles

West Chester has Aruba Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ:ARUN)’s 802.11ac AP-220 Series for both indoor and outdoor access point. They have upgraded many campus buildings and are happy with the network. The move towards all wireless network was primarily keeping in mind the students affinity towards mobile phones and wi-fi. Ever since the university has opted for Wireless network, they have saved about one million dollars in total cost. This is a huge number and in the future looks brighter. If the cost saving keeps increasing then it won’t be long before you see an all wireless West Chester campus showing the way to other top universities.
