Boston, MA 10/07/2014 (wallstreetpr) – Clearfield Inc (NASDAQ:CLFD) introduced the new ceiling and floor mounting panel FieldSmart ZoneBox. The panel will create a network to support all cable construction inside of a plant that will help in reducing the time for an upgrade and the cost of provisioning the process.
FieldSmart ZoneBox
The small base-box is an ideal panel that will access from 12 to 144 fibers at multiple points throughout the entire network. The application of the box covers the fiber demarcation, Passive Optical LAN (POLAN), telecommunications rooms, MDU applications, entrance facilities, security systems (CCTV) and CATV applications.
The box designs to use the POLAN rather than the traditional Ethernet networks that require more copper cables, as well as equipments. Consequently, it eliminates additional cables and switches for the distribution and also reduces the floor space and associated costs such as cables, backup for battery and cooling devices.
The features provide a rare access to Clearfield Inc (NASDAQ:CLFD)’s Clearview Cassettes (fiber management platform). The modular architecture of Clearview Cassettes improves the scalability of the fiber ports that limits the impact over its density. It also lowers the operating costs related to the deployment and maintenance of broadband network.
As a result, the box offer quick installation, deployment and maintenance services and the solid enclosure protects the slack storage and support from fiber terminations.
The box supports all kinds of industry standard connectors including single mode and multimode and also GR-20, GR-326 and GR-409 compliant.
