Boston, MA 01/30/2014 (wallstreetpr) – Himax Technologies, Inc. (ADR) (NASDAQ:HIMX) investors should take note of impending opportunity for the company if the latest rumors are anything to go by. HIMX supplies the microdisplays used in the soon-to-be-released Google Glass. This means that the company is hoping that more sales of Google Glass will significantly boost its revenue. Yet, it is also reported that Samsung Electronics is also working on headgear device tentatively called Galaxy Glass and that the deal to supply microdisplays for the device could go to Himax Technologies, Inc. (ADR) (NASDAQ:HIMX). If this happens, it will have a big lift on the stock are the market for smart glass is expected to be huge.

Cliffs Natural Resources Inc (NYSE:CLF) is almost pulled out of the Ring of Fire as the company has indicated that it will not back off in its plans to stop operations in the region. In late 2013, CLF declared that no additional capital will be a located for the Ring of Fire projects. The project is impended by various challenges among infrastructure which is causing financial challenge to the company. The infrastructure challenge is making it difficult for CLF to access resources or spend at of money in alternative access routes which is not beneficial for its business. Nonetheless, the company acknowledges the potential in the Ring of Fire, except that continuing in the current path is not only unsustainable, but also time consuming. Cliffs Natural Resources Inc (NYSE:CLF) gained more than 1.3 percent in Wednesday’s session.

Vodafone Group Plc (ADR) (NASDAQ:VOD) looks more energized to go for more growth opportunities after it obtained its shareholders approval to sale stake in Verizon Wireless which is expected to fetch $130 billion for the company. In the first steps, Vodafone Group Plc (ADR) (NASDAQ:VOD) is returning about $84 billion out of the $130 billion proceed from sale of wireless stake to investors. The company is also expected to use the money for various corporate activities which would, perhaps, including boosting connection in its newly-launched 4G network.
