Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) to launch new products in new categories

Boston, MA 02/06/2014 (wallstreetpr) – Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) is all set to launch various new products in some new category launches. In an interview, Tim Cook said that the company has some very great stuff in the pipeline. Of course, it goes without a mention that he took a classic Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) stance when it came to revealing what these products were going to be.  He gave no information about the specifics of these new launches and said that they will be part of new categories. This is not the first time that the CEO has made a mention of new product categories.

The company that aims at growth

In the latest talk, what he is probably aiming for is to woo investors who have been looking for some new signs of growth in the company. Cook stated that Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL) was and is a growth company and that there are a significant number of opportunities in the products that it already has in the market and in new ones as well. He said that the company’s aim is to be the top notch smartphone, computer and tablet maker across the globe. He also added that there has been some misunderstanding about his statement about the company not aiming to make the largest number of phones. He also clarified that the company will continue making high quality products and will not compromise on quality for the sake of revenue.

Lightening cables prices slashed

There is also some news that there is going to be a drop in the prices of lightening cables that are endorsed by Apple Inc (NASDAQ:AAPL). The company has reduced the minimum purchase volumes as well as the cost of MiFi licenses. Though there are reports that this deal had been introduced last month, it will take a while before this drop reflects on the retail prices. At the outset in 2005, when this licensing agreement was inked, it stood only for Made For iPod. Now, it means Made for iPhone/iPod/iPad and manufacturers have the license to use the MiFi logo, access the authentication chip and describe that these cables are certified.
