Boston, MA 03/04/2014 (wallstreetpr) – Airgas Inc (NYSE:ARG) announced to present two information sessions and give a glimpse of its new resource manual aimed at users of gas and chromatographs at PITTCON.
The Pittsburg Conference on Analytical Chemistry and Applied Spectroscopy (PITTCON) is being held at McCormick Place in Chicago from March 3 and will end on March 6. Apart from the information sessions, Airgas plans to introduce “The Chromatographer’s Guide to Gas and Gas Delivery Systems”, a manual for gas and chromatographs users. The information sessions will be held on two consecutive days- today at 8:30 a.m. and tomorrow at 3:05 p.m.
Information Sessions
Airgas Inc (NYSE:ARG) Specialty Gas Equipment’s Product Manager, Frank Kandl, will be presenting “Optimizing Performance with Consistent Results in Gas Chromatography” today. Another session on “Optimizing and Improving Carrier Gas Systems Enables You to Reduce Your Gas Usage” will be taken by Reginald Bartram, Gas Chromatography Consultant for the company.
The sessions aim at providing valuable insight and solutions which can assist gas users in achieving consistent performance. At the same time, they will also help in conserving resources, helium in particular, Kandl said. He also said that with optimized processes, users can also save huge expenses.
Gas Manual
Apart from the sessions, experts from Airgas specialty, one of the largest suppliers of specialty gases and equipment, will also showcase their new gas manual. The guide aims at providing detailed information on the specifications needed to construct and design gas delivery systems which are employed in gas chromatography and other analytical applications of high purity.
The manual would provide expertise in choosing correct gas purity, knowledge in determining purity and ultimately how applications are affected by purity. It further explains what role selection of proper component plays in ensuring process excellence, extending component life and in creating necessary consistencies. It will serve as a useful resource for improving processes.
