Aviary is a developer of SDKs (Software Development Kits) in a mobile platform and popular in the market as thousands of people use its photo-editing apps.

Adobe Systems Incorporated (NASDAQ:ADBE) intends to improve its cloud platforms through this acquisition as a new Creative SDK. It will facilitate the developers to utilize the Adobe’s innovative technologies and design the mobile apps and then integrate the mobile devices with its creative cloud desktop applications and services.
Adobe’s VP Creative Cloud Ecosystem & Behance, Scott Belsky said the collaboration will provide the advantage of Aviary’s technology to build more powerful Creative SDK. He also said that it will be great news for the developers who are looking for integration of mobile apps with desktop solutions such as Photoshop to offer more advanced creative cloud services.
Moreover, it will give opportunities for third-party developers to access the Adobe Systems Incorporated (NASDAQ:ADBE)’s Application Programming Interfaces (Adobe APIs), which was previously accessed only for the internal engineering teams.
The integration helps them to access Adobe’s creative cloud, image-editing services and also to extract the PSD files. It also offers them to access Adobe’s straight-line drawing software (Touch Slide) and cloud image-editing services (Content-Aware Fill and Upright).
Furthermore, Aviary’s co-founder Avi Muchnick pleased with the acquisition process as it will give Aviary an option to work along with the creative technologies and SDK offerings of Adobe. It will provide a large platform for third-party like Aviary to develop next generation mobile apps.
