Partnerships
MeadWestvaco (MWV), a global packaging company, has decided to renew its partnership with Xerox for its IT management services. It has felt the need to do so as it is growing consistently in specialty chemicals markets and targeted packaging. The two companies have been working together since 2006. Under this new five year contract, Xerox will extend services like ERP system management, additional hosting and telecom expense management for MWV’s Brazil business.
In a continuation of a long term relationship, the U.S. Navy has rewarded Xerox with a decade long contract amounting to $94 million for the onboard document needs of its entire fleet across the globe. To facilitate these services onboard, Xerox would deploy 18 technicians with the vessels which would continuously provide support services.
Authentix Inc. has entered into a long term material research services agreement with Xerox Corp.
Acquisition
Xerox Corp (NYSE:XRX) has successfully acquired Smart Data Consulting. This move will enable it to expand its suite of technology consulting capabilities and e-discovery services designed for law firms and corporations
Xerox Corp has also entered into an agreement to takeover German based company; Invoco Holding GmbH thereby expanding its customer care services in the European market.
Innovations
Channel partners now have new ways to strengthen customer relationships and drive revenue with Xerox’s enhanced Global Partner Program and Personalized Application Builder. This would enable the channel partners to capture the market share in the SMB document management space.
