Xerox has recently announced that it will acquire New York based Smart Data Consulting in order to expand and improveits e-discovery and consulting services in litigation division. The deal amount has not been disclosed by the companies.
Smart Data to help Xerox cater to litigation sector
Xerox Corp (NYSE:XRX) provides business and IT based services in about 160 countries. The move comes at a time when there has been an increased market demand in litigation sector for cost effective software. The product will help Xerox bridge the gap between the Xerox’s Omnix cloud based review platform and the CategoriX technology assisted review service.
The management team along with 22 employees will provide services to the clients under the name Xerox Litigation Services. This will add to Xerox e-discovery technical and process expertise. This service will be a 24X7 facility assisted by professionals and consultants.
