Boston, MA 11/08/2013 (wallstreetpr) – Recently, the management of Wi-LAN Inc (TSE:WIN) disclosed their third quarter earnings report. During the quarter the company managed to get the revenues of $20.7 million. Also the company managed to return around $7.8 million to their share holders in the share buyback and the dividend payments.
The company also signed agreements with Alcatel Lucent, HTC and other multiple litigations. All these agreements were notable in the light of the comments and if these deal or agreements do not prove to be a success it might ruin the working of the company. Also these agreements added millions to the back log of the company which resulted in the dismissal of various litigations. This dismissal of the litigations would help in decreasing all the future litigation expenses of the company.
In the third quarter report, the company received a quarterly dividend of CAD 0.04 per share. With the help of the agreements of Alcatel Lucent and HTC the company also managed to end their litigations with 4 other companies including Sierra Wireless, Novatel Wireless, HP and Blackberry. Till date, more than 275 companies are on portfolio of license technologies. These license agreements signed by the company till date have managed to generate more than $400 million. In this Wi-LAN Inc has reported earnings of more than $118 million in adjusted earnings. Also with the help of these agreements an estimated back log of between $325 million and $350 million has been reported.
The signing of these agreements with various defendants in the third and fourth quarter resulted in the dismissal of 7 litigations and also helped in reducing of 2 litigations.
For the current quarter, the company is expecting adjusted earnings between $12.5 million and $15 million to be earned.
