Boston, MA 09/08/2014 (wallstreetpr) – Communications provider, Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) subsidiary, Verizon Wireless announced that it would open its first Wireless Smart Store in Santa Maria in California on Monday.
Converting Stores
The company indicated that it would convert its complete 1,700 fleet of communications stores into Smart Stores in the next few years, a statement issued by Verizon said. Its representatives in the Store would use tablets to help customers with sales, as well as, service.
Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) said that its staff would be in a position to spend enough time with every customer since the cash register/counter barrier has been removed. The objective of the company was to make everything easy for its customers from every contact points, be it online or in stores or through telesales.
Features
The company disclosed that its resigned stores would have feature products in mobile lifestyle sector including Amplify It meant for music on-the go and Get Fit tailor-made for tracking healthy habits. Similarly, Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) has Have Fun for specifically novel tech gadgets and Home and on the Go meant for home automation.
Names GM
Verizon Wireless has named Jonathan Miller as its General Manager for its Santa Maria Smart Store. He will be assisted by 29 employees in the store. There would be five experienced specialists to guide customers on exhibiting new technology solutions in lifestyle sector.
The store would have three solution managers while 16 solution specialists would offer product expertise and suggest customized solutions for every customer. For explaining products and services including free wireless workshops, Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) had deputed two education specialists to address customer’s queries. It would also have four specialists for operational purposes.
This apart, Verizon Wireless has also said that a regional headquarters has been designated in Walnut Creek in California. Russ Preite has been named as Regional President and the center would take care of Northern California, Hawaii Region and Nevada.
