Boston, MA 05/29/2014 (wallstreetpr) – Broadband and other wireline and wireless communications services provider Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) has launched FiOS Quantum TV service in California thereby providing different choices and control for the customers. The company also indicated that it has the capacity to store more hours of HD programs and record shows at once.
FiOS Quantum TV Service
The New York-based Communications company disclosed that the advanced TV entertainment experience was enabled by improved DVR storage and control, and put together a successful FiOS Quantum Internet service. As a result of this new service, customers in Southern California can record and watch all playoff game of Stanley Cup. They can also record 12 shows of their most liked TV episodes in high definition thus giving the customers more storage of a maximum of 200 hours and control to enjoy their favorite contents in ways that they could not have before the launch of the service.
Verizon Communications had unveiled its FiOS TV in Southern California in 2006 and providing service to close to 1.4 million customers, both small businesses as well as households, throughout the region. Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) said that its FiOS Quantum TV offers two additional advanced tiers of DVR service, called as Premium and Enhanced.
While the Premium Service enables customers to record a maximum of 12 shows and store 200 hours of HD programming at the same time, Enhanced Service enables customers to record a maximum of six shows simultaneously besides storing up to 100 hours of HD programming.
The company indicated that many current customers’ home routers of FiOS broadband are compatible with its FiOS Quantum TV, whereas some needs be replaced. The company is willing to supply at no additional cost to its existing FiOS TV customers.
