Boston, MA 08/11/2014 (wallstreetpr) – The one telecom company that has managed to create more buzz around than any other rival is Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ). According to reports, the company has earned a lot of attention due to its network optimization policy which allows customers to use unlimited 4G LTE data plans. It seems like things are going to get difficult for those who are still putting the snare on existing unlimited data plans.
What’s The Issue:
According to a recently published report in Droid-Life, Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) is trying its best to find out loop-holes in its existing plans. These loop-holes allow customers who are already using unlimited data plan to upgrade to a new connection at a discounted price. The company is all set to make unlimited data upgrades from August 24, 2014. Reports claim that company is planning to make it mandatory for all the smart phones that have unlimited data plans to continue using the same plan till the end of the contract. If someone will try to find a shortcut, then his data plan will be discontinued.
How have Verizon users managed to take benefit from existing plans:
Till now most of the Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE:VZ) users have tried to take maximum advantage from the company by first signing up for $10 feature data plan, use that plan to upgrade to a smart-phone and move their smart phone to an unlimited plan. Customers can again switch back the recently upgraded plan to normal feature phone. The new policy of the company will prevent all such users to take advantage of the loophole that is there in data plan. Now users will have to use the same smart-phone till the time the initial contract gets over. Under the new policy, any customer who buys “legacy” plan and a smart-phone with a contract period of two years will have to continue with the same plan for the entire duration.
