Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) Goes Aggressive On Advertising

Boston, MA 12/13/2013 (wallstreetpr) –  Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) has gone the Google Inc, way in monetizing its services. The ad-based products are –Tailored audiences, Television ads and now the Broad Match- which will pull the company away into more revenue earnings. Other products that Twitter hopes to attract revenue through MoPub mobile advertisement-based network.

Twitter has not had a very good stock-market adventure thus far, with its IPO failing to attract as many investors as anticipated. It continues to trade in shortened format; it has been able to garner only 70 million.

The question of whether the new ad format will turn-around the company’s fortunes will be answered by time of the first quarter result announcements.

Twitter expands direct messaging

Apparently Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) has many strategies up its sleeve to meet the onslaught of social networks across the genres.

Twitter has since established its credibility as the communication format of the current generation, as demonstrated at the Summer of Arab Spring rising last year. Here it has stood by comments against the establishment, refusing to delete them even after governments ordered the removal of such messages, finally seeking legal recourse to retain the right to publish public commentary and not editing or controlling them.

Thus public comments have thus far been the reason for Twitter’s popularity.

In the recent weeks, Twitter has chosen to offer private messaging platform as well. Though this feature – Direct Messaging – does exist already, it was recently tweaked to bring higher and more powerful messaging features between friends privately.

Added feature is the sharing of photos as well.

This is viewed as Twitter’s response to Facebook’s latest toy Instagram.

Besides, Instagram is well on its way to monetizing through its -Direct- ads. Twitter Inc (NYSE:TWTR) needed a strong advertisement-based product to take on Direct and thus the wide-range of advertisement based products, debuted to match earnings.
