Boston, MA 09/24/2014 (wallstreetpr) – The Procter & Gamble Company (NYSE:PG) has entered into a deal to unload the rest of its pet care business in Europe. The move comes at a time when the company aims to focus on core businesses while undertaking cost curtailment to grow and preserve the value for its shareholders. In the latest deal, The Procter & Gamble Company (NYSE:PG) will sell its Iams and Eukanuba brands to Spectrum Brands. The financial details of the deal were not disclosed. However, the portion of the pet care asset on sale has about $200 million in annual sales. The Iams and Eukanuba brands serve 42 markets in Europe.
Halliburton Company (NYSE:HAL) received favorable rating from Moody’s Investors Service. The firm affirmed its A2 and Prime-1 commercial paper rating on Halliburton Company (NYSE:HAL). It also altered its outlook on the company to “stable” from “negative”. Moody’s provided various reasons for the move, and such include improvement in financial performance at Halliburton Company (NYSE:HAL) and positive cash flow in the company. It noted the positive cash flow generation is good news in terms of funding of capital spending and dividend payout. That also leaves free cash flow for such activities as shares repurchase. Halliburton Company (NYSE:HAL) earned $0.91 in the most recent quarter, which was in line with the estimate ($0.91). Revenue for the quarter was recorded at $8.10 billion, up 10% from the previous year and ahead of the estimate of $7.88 billion.
The Allstate Corporation (NYSE:ALL) has said in statement that it intends to talk about its 3Q results on October 30. That would be a day after it releases the results. The results are expected to be announced after the market on October 29, through a news release. The Allstate Corporation (NYSE:ALL) last reported its quarter earnings on July 30, during which it posted beating figures. It earned $1.01 per share, yet analysts estimated $0.86. Revenue was noted at $8.86 billion, ahead of the estimate of $7.58 billion. Revenue in the most recent quarter was up 5% YoY.
