Boston, MA 06/11/2014 (wallstreetpr) – The Boeing Company (NYSE:BA) Business Jets has confirmed it has completed the order of a BBJ 777-300ER to an undisclosed customer. The latest order outlines how the year has continued to be a milestone for BBJ as more orders continue to trickle in’. Customers have continued to show strong interest on the company’s VIP body products that are always ready to provide comfort on a wide range of long haul flights.
Boeing Dominance in VIP Planes
The latest BBJ is the second for this year demonstrating Boeing dominance in the VIP airplanes market. Since the inception of 747-8 and 787 in 2006, wide body planes have accounted for nearly 40% of the total BBJ plane orders. The BBJ 777-300ER has a cabin size that measures 3,641 square feet with range capability of up to 9,220 nautical miles.
The Boeing Business jets are normally delivered before customizing any interiors as customers choose completion centers of their own. Boeing Business Jets has over the years been known to provide a variety of ultra large cabin with long range airplanes suited for a private jet market. The latest development follows the announcement that Turkish airlines’ has opted to convert the option to buy 15 Boeing 737-8 MAX planes into a firm order with delivery expected for 2020.
FAA Order
Boeing has been ordered by the U.S Federal Aviation Administration to modify the technology used in its 737 single aisle, a plane that has established itself as the company’s bread and butter since 1968. The order by the FAA is aimed at preventing any computer hacker from having access to the plane something that might result in damages.
A report on USA Today indicates that Boeing has been ordered to ensure that its airplanes electronics systems are entirely protected from access of unauthorized personnel who might have ill motives. The Boeing Company (NYSE:BA) has already delivered more than 10,700 of the 737’s and is thought to have unfilled orders of up to 3,900 on its books.
