The Boeing Company (NYSE:BA) Completed $5 Million Donation To The U.S. Army National Museum

Boston, MA 09/10/2014 (wallstreetpr) – The Boeing Company (NYSE:BA) recently completed the payments of $5 million, which the company had undertaken to donate to the National Museum of the United States Army.

The Army Historical Foundation reported that Boeing Co has completed the series of payments it had pledged to donate to the National Museum. The world’s biggest aerospace company, also recognized as the leading maker of military aircraft and commercial jetliners, combined, seeks to sponsor the Soldier’s Story Gallery.

The Gallery is a dramatic entrance to the National Army Museum, which aims at developing an instant bond between the visitors of the Museum and the Soldiers whose stories would be narrated. It is proposed that the soldiers’ stories would be narrated in a larger-than-life way.

The Boeing Company (NYSE:BA) had pledged to donate the sum in February, 2011 for the Museum building which proposed housing spacecraft and a vast collection of presidential aircraft. It was proposed that the Museum would be inaugurated in 2014.

Boeing’s Own Initiatives

In this context, the Board President of the Army Historical Foundation, USA-Retired General William W. Hartzog, expressed his gratitude to Boeing Company (NYSE:BA) for making an early commitment to the Museum. He said that the company was the first to donate in the Campaign’s elite Circle of Distinction of the Commander-in-Chief. He also informed that the space is reserved for donations of $5 million or above.

In an article, 4-traders reported that Hartzog commented on Boeing Company (NYSE:BA) acting as a big supporter of the Museum. He further added that the company also expanded its sponsorship creatively through their own initiatives. One such initiative by the company, he mentioned, is the sponsoring of the Soldiers’ Stories Video Gallery. It is an online video run that features interviews with Army veterans on the context of preserving and promoting Army history, he explained. Through the interviews, the video series seeks to share first-hand experiences of those who served the Army.
