The collaboration is related to co develop a new “Trusted Mobile device” which would help users to have a fool proof technology platform to identify and cross verify user and device identity. Hydrogen-based power generation equipment provider Hydrogenics Corporation (NASDAQ:HYGS) announced recently that it is introducing a new fuel cell system branded as “Celerity”. The new system is being built to be used in powering medium and heavy duty buses and trucks. The firm hopes to offer this solution as a mid way solution which will eventually lead to production of fuel cells which will propel vehicles without generating emissions. It also believes that the evolution of the fuel cell further would lead to reduction in the cost of ownership of the firm.
DNA-based diagnostics methods developer Cancer Genetics, Inc. (NASDAQ:CGIX) announced on 13th October that it has entered into a collaboration with Columbia University. The collaboration would lead to joint research aimed at identifying more “accurate diagnostic and prognostic markers” which would lead to the detection of myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) symptoms ahead of time. The joint research would ultimately aim to “develop personalized therapy” for patients suffering from Bone Marrow cancer.Azra Raza, MD, who is serving as the director of the MDS Center at Columbia University Medical Center (CUMC), and Siddhartha Mukherjee, MD, PhD, assistant professor of medicine at Columbia University Medical Center will be driving the research efforts of the joint team.
