(NASDAQ:BNFT) announced recently that its flag ship Benefitfocus HR INTOUCH MARKETPLACE® solution has been selected by SMS Holdings Corporation to run its “benefits administration” department. The company boasts of pensionable employee strength of 7,500. The application of Benefitfocus, Inc. (NASDAQ:BNFT) will help the firm become compliant with the requirements of the Affordable Care Act (ACA). The cloud based app will allow customers to centrally manage their “benefits enrollment, eligibility and employee communication” at a very low cost.

Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ:KTOS) announced on 13th October that its Public Safety & Security Solutions unit had won a $2.1 million contract recently to supply new security systems. The contract is to be executed to meet the security needs of the “rail system and mass transportation sector” in U.S. The contract covers such activities as designing and deploying new specialized security systems which can be integrated into the exiting “command and control” assets maintained by the transportation agencies. Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. (NASDAQ:KTOS) disclosed that it is not at liberty to disclose the identity of the end customer due to contractual obligations.
