Boston, MA 06/20/2014 (wallstreetpr) – SolarCity Corp (NASDAQ:SCTY) on June 19, 2014 announced that the company was planning to hire 100 more sales employees over the next 100 days duration. For this purpose, the company said, it will launch a career fair entitled- ‘100 Jobs in 100 Days.’
This career fair will be held at its present Granite Bay location at 4202 Douglas Blvd., Ste. 100, on June 21, 2014. The company said that the attendance of the career fair to be held on Saturday shall remain restricted to 400 people. The interested candicates will have to apply at the ‘Careers’ section of the website after finding the suitable open position. The candidates can also send their resumes to GBEvents@solarcity.com in order to apply for the attendance at the career fair.
Granite Bay Office: Hub of SolarCity’s Inside Sales Team
The location of the career fair has been chosen meticulously. Granite Bay location is the hub of current inside sales team of the company. This office location also houses the local marketing staffers, a lot of whom joined the company from Paramount Solar after previous year’s acquisition.
However, this year, Solarcity Corp (NASDAQ:SCTY) expects that it will shift its location to a larger office space because of an increase in the growth. The company expects that in the next 18 months, it will double its present 200-strong national inside-sales team at Las Vegas and Granit Bay location.
Paramount Solar Acquisition Increasing Hiring
An increase in the hiring activity of Solarcity Corp (NASDAQ:SCTY) is attributed to acquisition of Paramount Solar, which took place in September last year. Since then, the company has been hiring over 20 employees every month at its Granite Bay location.
At present, the largest solar power employer of the country employs over 500 workers in the Sacramento area. SolarCity has its operations in 15 states and in 2014 it was also awarded with the employee’s choice “Glassdoor Best Places to Work” award.
