The deal of Flipkart acquiring Myntra, one of the biggest apparel stores, was almost of $330 million and will take place very soon. The shareholders of Myntra will also be benefitted with cash-payouts as well as stake in Flipkart.
Challenge for Amazon in near future:
The ex-employee of Amazon.Com, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN), Sachin Bansal and Binny Bansal founded Flipkart in 2007. The country’s largest online retailer after owning Myntra aims to move sevenfold to $22 billion by the end of 2018. It will create a huge challenge for Amazon, which is also in a row to take the prime spot in online retail business. Amazon in 2009 had a deal of $1.2 billion to acquire online shoe retailer Zappos. However, it will be a challenge for the budding online store to give a tight fight with such giant in the online retailer business, Amazon.
