Boston, MA 08/20/2014 (wallstreetpr) –On August 19, 2014, Versar Inc. (NYSEMKT:VSR) declared a new contract for the joint venture between Environmental Consulting and Geo-Marine/Baer Engineering. The Springfield, Virginia-headquartered company announced that the association has won a significant agreement from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Albuquerque District. Under this prime contract, the joint venture will proffer extensive environmental services at Cannon, as well as Holloman Air Force Bases in New Mexico.
New contract awarded:
The new contract awarded to the joint venture is a single award with a maximum of 5-year period of performance including a base period as well as four options years. The total amount of the base year has been bestowed upon the Joint venture. The full amount stands at almost $824,000.
The services:
“Fence to Fence” agreements consist of a number of services, though not confined to them. ESOHCAMP, which stands for Environmental Safety and Occupational Health Compliance Assessment and Management Program, in an integral component of the services. Other services include cultural resources, air quality compliance support, hazardous material management, natural resources, material waste management and pollution control. However, this is the not the end.
The list of services also encompasses solid waste management, long-term monitoring, long-term operations as well as maintenance, petroleum, oil and lubricants (POL) management, etc. Also, drinking water monitoring, waste water, as well as storm water annual permitting plus monitoring, EMS (Environmental Management System) and support, systems optimization are other essential services under the contracts.
