Boston, MA 09/03/2014 (wallstreetpr) – Transportation and supply chain management solutions provider, Ryder System, Inc. (NYSE:R) announced the unveiling of a new Rental Reservation portal to help its commercial customers both in the U.S., as well as, Canada to simplify their truck rental needs management.
New Website
The new website would provide customers with quick and easy reservation of trucks through online and at the same time at a negotiated rate, the company said in a statement. This feature is new and not available with any other sites in the industry, it claimed.
Ryder said that the new sites would also allow its customers to manage and control their rental profiles, view available vehicles, cancel or modify truck reservations through online, and locate the rental facilities of the company.
In tune with the technological advancement and the user preference, Ryder System, Inc. (NYSE:R) said that its reservation site would also be available on mobile devices apart from providing a suitable tablet interface for on the move customers.
Customers Can Register
Ryder System, Inc. (NYSE:R) indicated that its customers could easily register on the site and establish an online profile to facilitate better management of their rental needs of trucks. The site offers options of searching location by filtering City, State, and or ZIP code. Ryder also indicated that irrespective of the location, the site would provide information on the availability of vehicles at the customer’s agreed rates.
After a customer reserves a vehicle, fleet managers would get an email confirmation, which can be easily modified or cancelled or even replicate vehicle reservations through online. The customers would also be provided with their earlier rental history and also insurance information about vehicle. Ryder System, Inc. (NYSE:R) also said that vehicles can be reserved, as well as, picked up the same day.

He said that the new site would not only be faster but also be a hassle free one to facilitate customers’ operation more efficiently.
