Ryan Lochte’s fiancée wants his former Playboy model ex-wife to take those ‘homewrecker’ claims somewhere else

Don’t call Ryan Lochte’s fiancée Molly Gillihan a homewrecker. That couldn’t be further from the truth, according to the kindergarten teacher herself.

She didn’t start dating the Olympic medal-winning swimmer until after he and his former Playboy model wife Kayla Rae Reid split. The two of them came together over the common bound involving a divorce lawyer.

A classic “his divorce lawyer was my ex-husband’s divorce lawyer” tale that’s as old as time. Gillihan was single, wanted to have fun, and went out with the swimmer for some drinks.

She accidentally came away from the date really liking Lochte. That apparently wasn’t the plan going into it.

That’s a different story than the one Reid told People recently, which painted a picture of someone she was friendly with DMing and dating her husband behind her back. It’s not true, says Lochte’s fiancée.

They didn’t start dating until after Reid filed for divorce last spring. Gillihan told TMZ, “I did not break up your marriage. I’m not a homewrecker. Your home was broken. When I met Ryan, he was not living in the home.”

Why is this all being dragged out now? Could it have something to do with Lochte popping the question before his divorce was finalized? That’s anyone’s guess. Love sometimes takes you on bumpy roads.

He, it would appear, is staying out of it. He’s moving on. Homewrecker insinuations or not, Gillihan, if all goes as planned, will be the next Mrs. Lochte.

The couple have since moved from Gainesville to Missouri. He’s now coaching college swimmers while his ex-wife and his fiancée sit down for interviews and tell their side of the story. Isn’t that fun?
