RadioShack Corporation (NYSE:RSH) Unvels 23 Interactive Remodel Stores

Boston, MA 08/06/2014 (wallstreetpr) – A chain of retail store operator of consumer electronics goods and services, RadioShack Corporation (NYSE:RSH) disclosed that it had unveiled 23 fresh, interactive remodeled stores in the Washington area. The move is meant to not only revitalize its store base but also bring in innovative products to the market.

Remodeling of Stores

The company said that it had started remodeling of stores by replacing with highly experimental concept stores in the U.S. last year in July. As a result, it had already refreshed over 4K company-owned stores in the U.S. It indicated that the locally remodeled stores would have features such as a mobile device repair program called Fix It Here! Service offering delivery the same day for most of the current popular mobile devices. It will allow the customers to get their mobile devices repaired by a trained technician of the company quickly even it meant damaged or broken.

The remodeled stores offer the customers with an updated shopping experience in the Washington area through new formats and promotion of unique products from its tech-savvy inventors.

Products From Inventors

RadioShack Corporation (NYSE:RSH) said that the remodeled stores would provide a platform for inventors and startups to showcase their innovative products like littleBits’ educational magnetic circuit boards, Sphero’s mobile device-controlled robot ball, and Lively’s activity sensors. Similarly, customers can also use an interactive speaker wall and compare various types of speakers with the help of in-store tablets.

The company had also disclosed that its experimental display of products such as headphone demo stations allow the shoppers to unearth products and also compare with similar kind of products. The new stores would have the latest technology such as touchscreens and apps to make the shopping more interesting and playful for the customers.

RadioShack Corporation (NYSE:RSH)’s senior vice president of store operations MikeDeFazio said that the remodeled stores represent the wishes of the customers, who wanted to interact with the products they buy by finding out personalized technology solutions apart from gaining access to top brands.
