Pfizer Inc (NYSE:PFE) stock trading low

Boston, MA 08/12/2013 (wallstreetpr) – During the last trading session, shares of Pfizer Inc (NYSE:PFE) closed at the price of $29.26 which was found to have decreased by 0.27%. During the intra-day trading, the price of Pfizer’s shares reached the highest value of $29.45 while the lowest price during the intra-day trading was observed as $29.19. During the last session, the shares of Pfizer Inc were found to have opened at the value of $29.27. During the intra-day trading, the share trading volume remained at $21 million while the average trading volume of the company seemed to be heading up to $44 million with 73% of institutional ownership.

The stock of Pfizer Inc was observed to be holding the price of $23.55 as the highest price during the period of 52 weeks with the lowest price of the stock for the 52 weeks being $31.15. It was observed that Pfizer Inc has a total number of 7.09 billion shares which are outstanding in the market with the market capitalization value equal to $207.55 billion.

Pfizer Inchas been continuously suing the makers of generics in India. It was observed that Pfizer Inc has taken one of the rivals of the company in India to the US court in a clash to hold the limited patents over the company’s drugs. Although this seems to be a legal attempt that is impossible, Pfizer Inchas continued the lawsuit against makers of generics in India. Before this, Pfizer Inc was known to have got the authorization from the US FDA for the company’s Eliquis for the prevention of venous thromboembolic events in the patients who underwent hip or knee surgery. Now, Pfizer Inc has sued Wockhardt Limited and two of the other firms in India to prevent them from getting the approval to sell the generics of Pfizer’s Lyrica, which is a neuropathic pain killer.
