Boston, MA 10/16/2013 (wallstreetpr) – Oracle Corporation (NYSE:ORCL) has a 25,000 strong community membership under its Oracle PartnerNetwork. For the known ORCL successs, this company plays a very integral role. This is why Rich Geraffo has joined ORCL to serve as SVP for the company’s Worldwide Alliances and Channels. This simply means Geraffo will be working with partners and communities to make the company even stronger and more successful.
And of course this means something good for the investors – more revenue for the company and higher dividends if all goes well. ORCL has been out full blast to capitalize on its community and partner opportunities by first making them grow and flourish. And now the man in charge of that department is a seasoned enterprise executive having been with HP.
The new head of this outfit has the express mandate to initiate, develop and execute OPN to improve revenue for partners.
Essentially, ORCL considers OPN as an incredibly valuable part of its businesses that it has to cultivate to help the partner community and ORCL itself to capitalize on new opportunities. Being an industry expert, ORCL President Mark Hurd said Geraffo will “be instrumental in driving new growth for ORCL and partners”.
And on his part, the new kid on the block at ORCL’s partnership department has express joy at leading such a high profile organization. But beyond looking forward, the job is already cut out for the new boss and that there might be no room for honeymoon in the new office as innovation and value are urgently needed by the company’s worldwide customers.
At HP, working as SVP and MD for the Enterprise Business in the Americas, Geraffo was responsible for leading HP enterprise sales and revenue growth drives for regions of Caribbean, Latin America, Canada and the U.S.
A lot of previous success for Geraffo might not be what investors are looking for now, but how he manages to improve OPN and bolster its performance for the good of the greater ORCL community will either see him listen to songs of praise or the other songs.
