Oracle Corporation (NYSE:ORCL) Announces Extension Of Its Enterprise Manager Capabilities to MySQL Databases

Boston, MA 09/26/2014 (wallstreetpr) – Enterprise software services provider, Oracle Corporation (NYSE:ORCL) disclosed that it was expanding its Enterprise Manager abilities to MySQL databases to help its customers simplify complex IT environments management.

On-Premise Or Cloud

The company said that as a result of the new features, customers would be able to manage complex developments of its technologies including MySQL either in a cloud or on-premises, its statement revealed. Oracle Corporation (NYSE:ORCL) added that its current Oracle Enterprise Manager users would be able to add MySQL easily into their environments. It would also be unveiling fresh commercial extensions for MySQL Enterprise Edition. This included auditing, enterprise encryption abilities and new backup.

Oracle Corporation (NYSE:ORCL) said that the advantage for the customers would be that they can manage their technology stack and applications from a single console, including departmental and web applications that depend on MySQL database. It said that customers would also gain from its available monitoring, auto-discovery of MySQL targets, performance dashboards, configuration and metrics collection, and configurable thresholds.

Enterprise Edition

Oracle Corporation (NYSE:ORCL) disclosed that the latest extension of offerings would allow public cloud service providers and organizations to manage on-premises deployments, and public and private clouds by its technologies. It would also offer an easy way for the current users to adopt MySQL.

Oracle Corporation (NYSE:ORCL) said that customers could download its Enterprise Manager for MySQL database and Release 5.5 besides higher version through its Oracle Linux, Oracle Solaris, Microsoft Windows, and other Linux distributors.

Oracle Corporation (NYSE:ORCL)’s My SQL Engineering VP, Tomas Ulin, said that most of its customers using its Enterprise Manager solution might also have the chances of MySQL Enterprises running with their organizations. He said that the latest extension of offering would only simply its customers monitoring environment and IT management with a single integrated solution. The list of Oracle products already amalgamated and certified with MySQL Enterprise included its Fusion Middleware, Data Integrator, GoldenGate, Audit Vault and Database Firewall, and Secure Backup.
